Villafranca will be a 4-star Parador: more modern, more comfortable, accessible and ecological

At the City Hall of Villafranca del Bierzo, Miguel Martínez presented this morning the project of a integral remodelling of the Parador.
“When the works are finished, in about ten months, Villafranca and the whole Bierzo Region will have a 4-star Parador, accessible to everybody, ecological, modern, comfortable and with a larger capacity to greet guests and to be the venue for events and celebrations”. The CEO of Paradores, Mr. Miguel Martínez, resumed the objectives of the public hotel chain with this integral remodelling of the Parador of Villafranca del Bierzo.
Martinez made this statement after registering the project at the City Hall of this small village of the Bierzo Region, the Major of the village, Agustín García Millán, being present. The works will start at mid-July; the will last ten months and the investment will be slightly more than 6 million Euro.
The remodelling will mean the total transformation of the building, its access and exterior areas. Nevertheless, the architects leading the project, José Ignacio and Eduardo Paradinas, will preserve the characteristic essence of the current building and its historical flair.
