Santiago, the world's best hotel regarding hygiene and food safety

The Hostal de los Reyes Católicos has been awarded with the "Cristal 2008" Prize.
The Parador de Turismo “Hostal dos Reis Católicos” in Santiago de Compostela has been awarded with the “Cristal 2008 Award” by the international consultancy firm ‘Check Safety First’. This Prize is awarded annually at worldwide level and recognizes the Parador of Santiago as the hotel with the highest safety and food hygiene Standard in the World.
Mr. Steve Tate, President of the international consultancy firm ‘Check Safety First’ handed the diploma over to the CEO of Paradores, Mr. Miguel Martínez, who was assisted by Mr. David Massip, General Manager of Operations, and Mr. Julio Castro, Manager of the Hostal dos Reis Católicos.
The “Cristal Award” is awarded after a number of very strict audits, checking more than 250 topics at each hotel, following the directives of the WHO – The World Health Organization.
The Hostal dos Reis Católicos has obtained the highest scoring among 350 hotels analyzed all over Spain and among the 1.500 hotels audited at international level.
