Parador de La Seu d’Urgell

At the convergence of the Valira and Segre rivers, where the Sierra de Cadí mountains stand vigilant, you will find the most important town in northern Lleida Province: La Seu d’Urgell. The Parador is located near the town's Romanesque cathedral, its best-kept treasure, and in a historic environment open to nature, attracting hikers, mountain lovers and tourists eager to discover the paradise of Andorra. You will surely love such aspects of the Parador de La Seu d’Urgell as the Renaissance cloister, which has been magnificently adapted to match the elegant, modern décor in the rest of the building; the covered swimming pool, sauna and solarium; and in general, comfortable facilities that provide ideal accommodations for exploring the beauty of the Catalan Pyrenees.

Traces of the town's past may be found in its many monuments, including the cathedral, which has a lovely cloister carved in granite; the diocesan museum, which houses a copy of the Commentary on the Apocalypse; Romanesque Sant Miguel Church; and the Casa de la Ciudad (House of the City), the town hall. The Parador is situated amidst these beautiful monuments in the old quarter, which is made up of magical streets lined with arcades and dotted with large old houses.

World famous canoeing championships are held every summer at Segre Olympic Park in La Seu d’Urgell. The area is also perfect for golf and Aravell Golf Andorra is just ten minutes from town. Mountain biking trails, hiking and of course, skiing, are just a few of the many options available in the Lérida Pyrenees.
