At Paradores de Turismo de España, S.A. we are aware of the importance of guaranteeing the security of the transfer of information with our clients and to this effect we have put in place the maximum security measures which guarantee the confidentiality of communications.
In the event that the user requests information on services and products by means of sending forms hosted on Paradores’ web pages, it will always be necessary to collect the required personal information in order to be able to send the information in keeping with their preferences.
In the online reservations services, with the objective of guaranteeing the security and confidentiality of transactions, and to be able to inform the user on his/her request, prior identification and authentication of the user is required on the system by means of access passwords.
The connection to the transactional service of online reservations takes place through a secure server. The SSL (Secure Socket Layer) secure sever establishes a connection in such a way that the information is transmitted encrypted via 128 bit algorithms, which ensure that it is only intelligible by the client’s computer and the Paradores server.
It is possible to verify that the connection is taking place via a secure server by checking one of the following aspects:
- By means of the address (URL) of the server, given that on a secure server it begins with https while normally it begins with http.
- By means of the browser program’s indicator consisting of the appearance in one of the lower corners of the screen of a complete key (instead of a broken one as with any non-secure server) or a closed padlock (instead of an open one as with any non-secure server).
