Cala AiguaXelida
In between Begur and Fornells we find the Cala AiguaXelida. This beautiful spot in the Mediterranean Coast is considered a paradisiac cove where the sea goes into the rocky cliffs with strange formations and the pine trees grow in unexpected places. It is a 30 metres long beach in a completely natural area with spectacular views and soft sand. You can access it by walking from the village of Tamariu, which is located just 1 kilometres far from here.
Playa Fonda
Playa Fonda, in Begur, is located just 2.4 kilometres away from the Parador de Aiguablava. It is one of the most famous beaches in the region and it is a wonderful place to see the sunset. The light reflects on the outstanding cliffs of this beach that still preserves its virgin but wild appearance.
This is one of the best beaches of all the ones around our Parador. If you choose to come here, it is better if you do it in the afternoon, because it can get too crowded in the mornings.
Cala de Tamariu
In the north of the Cabo de Creus Nature Park we find the Cala de Tamariu. It is located so close to the Port de la Selva, just 3 kilometres away from our Parador. It is the perfect choice if you want to spend a relaxing and peaceful time in a beautiful spot. It used to be and old fishermen nucleus. Now it is a beautiful bay with transparent water and green trees. Some of those trees that are still on the surroundings are named as the cove, tamariu, which is why this cove is called like that, because of the trees that used to grow around this spot.
Cala de Aiguablava - Port de Fornells
