Parador de El Saler - Bioparc Valencia
Located around 20 kilometres far from our Parador de El Saler in Valencia, there is the famous Bioparc Valencia. A group of biologists, vets, architectures and geologists make possible this authentic African zoo in the Mediterranean coast. A total of 4000 animals of 250 species can be seen here. Of course the capital of Spain had to have a zoo. Madrid's Zoo is located in the Casa de Campo, and it is one of the oldest zoos of Europe. It is not only about giving the animals a living, but also about raising species and taking care of them. There are more than 6000 animals of 500 species! The Parador de Alcalá de Henares is located in the outsides of Madrid. It is 45 kilometres away from the zoo, but you can easily get there by public transport: take the C2 train line to Chamartín and once there change to metro line 10 to Puerta del Sur and get off after 8 stops in Casa De Campo. The Parador de Alcalá de Henares is a wonderful building from the XVII century perfect for a peaceful getaway separated from the busy lifestyle of a big city.
