Parador de Aiguablava

Restaurante Mar i Vent boasts an exceptional setting in one of the most popular and attractive corners of the Costa Brava: the cove and beach of Aiguablava in Begur.

From Mar i Vent's terrace overlooking the crystalline waters of the sea and the golden sand of the beach, the sight of the seagulls swooping over the Mediterranean in the gentle breeze is a scene worthy of any watercolour.

The gastronomic space itself combines colours and aromas among the outdoor tables, in harmony with the setting to create different ambiences in a single space. There is a hint of a maritime theme to the decoration and the balanced design makes for a modern and relaxing venue.

This is a must-visit eatery in the Empordà region for all food lovers. Visitors can enjoy market-fresh cooking based on a philosophy of fresh, seasonal produce and quality ingredients. Fresh fish and seafood on the grill or salt-baked, rice with lobster, the famous tot o pelat seafood rice, shellfish, oysters, line-caught calamari, mussels, anchovies and local Empordà designation of origin olive oil. Grilled meats like filet or thick, bone-in ribeye and Angus beef hamburgers are just some of the dishes you can enjoy on the menu, without forgetting the range of rice dishes cooked over our stove or the daily specials that change from day to day. For those with a sweet tooth there is a fine selection of traditional Catalan desserts with a modern twist such as crema cremada foam, ensaimada with ice cream, cheesecake and other modern desserts.

There is a cocktail and mixed drinks menu with something for any time of the day and the wine list includes wines from all the main designation of origin regions in Spain.

All of this comes, of course, with attentive service and flexibility in the preparation of dishes.
