Parador de Alcalá de Henares

We offer a wide variety of culinary selections that combine classic Castilian cooking with creative and avant-garde cuisine, and of course, references to dishes mentioned in the works of Cervantes. Our creations are complemented by an excellent wine list, featuring the major designations of origin for Spanish wines.

The Parador has several dining areas, most importantly Restaurante de Santo Tomás and La Hostería del Estudiante. Specialties include migas alcalaínas (fried breadcrumbs with pork products, peppers and grapes), chickpea stew croquettes and convent-style piononos (sponge cake rolls soaked in liquid or syrup—giving them a light, pleasing texture—and topped with burnt cream).

At Alcalá, an entire world of culinary delights opens up before you. And you won’t want to miss prestigious culinary events like Cervantes Culinary Days, commemorating the birth of Miguel de Cervantes.
