Parador de Argómaniz

The Parador de Argómaniz occupies a magnificent Renaissance palace, with Restaurante Aletegui on the top story. The wood floors, decorative details and furnishings make the dining room a cozy, elegant space. Here you will enjoy an exquisite meal and the best Rioja wines with a view of the Álava plain, Sierra de Gorbea mountains and Ullibarri Gamboa Reservoir.

Our cuisine is based on local products, including the famous Idiazábal cheese, the no less well-known wines of the Rioja Alavesa region, peppers from Gernika and fish from the nearby Bay of Biscay. We definitely recommend that you try the stars of our kitchen: Club Ranero-style cod (served with tomato and pepper sauce), goxua (delicious sponge cake with blancmange, cream and caramel), snails and St. George's mushrooms, Parador house specialties that are sure to amaze you.
