Parador de Hondarribia
Carlos V (hab. nº 101)
The Carlos V Room is one of the most spacious and iconic rooms at the Parador de Hondarribia. With a 2x2 metre double bed and thick stone walls, it is the only room with views of Plaza de Armas, adding a touch of majesty to your stay. Along with the spectacular views of the Bidasoa estuary, visible from another window, it will make your stay unforgettable, as you relive the history of a 10th century building.
Figures from Admiral Oqueando to the Duke of Alba, Garcilaso de la Vega, the Marquis of Spínola and even Sofía Loren and Natalia Figueroa have stayed inside the walls of this palace, converted into a hotel with the charm to match its history.
The Parador de Hondarribia does not have its own restaurant, so the evening meal for the guests staying in this unique room will be at a local restaurant recommended by the Michelin guide.
