The Parador del Tiede, located 2,152 m above sea level and in the heart of the National Park of Teide, is the ideal place for astronomy lovers who want to spend a few days watching a sky teeming with stars and free from all kinds of pollution.
Every Friday there is a talk and sky observation with astronomy experts (free activity).
Moreover, the Parador has two telescopes available for guests to use:
- A Newtonian telescope with a Dobson mount. This has a mirror with a 10 inch (254 mm) diameter and a focal length of 60 inches (1,524 mm)
- Meade Lx10 EMC. This has a mirror with a 202.2 mm diameter and a focal length of 20,000 mm.
