Parador de Vilalba

Restaurante Enxebre Castelo dos Andrade is housed in the Parador’s stately tower, which formed part of the castle given by King Pedro the Cruel to Fernando Pérez de Andrade, one of the great lords of medieval Galicia. Within these walls filled with history, it should not be surprising that the cuisine will also transport you back to a distant age. Our menu features such traditional dishes as pulpo á feira (octopus and potatoes dressed with olive oil and paprika), empanada de zorza y queso (paprika pork and cheese savory pie) and delicious stuffed filloas (crêpes).

The Parador’s house specialties also include ham croquettes, merluza en caldeirada (hake stew), meats such as grilled sirloin steak and tasty desserts like bica de Guitiriz (corn flour sponge cake). Lugo is a land of fine dining par excellence, home to exquisite tapas and hearty dishes such as caldo gallego (bean stew) and cocido (chickpea stew).
